Here at the Emissaries of Divine Light, we value the trust you place in us when you subscribe to our mailing lists or make a financial contribution. Therefore, we are providing this special privacy statement to tell you more about our information gathering and information sharing practices related to donations and subscriptions.

  • Send you an acknowledgment letter for gifts of more than $10
  • Contact you if we have a question when we are processing your gift
  • Send you information or donation envelopes if you have requested them
  • Maintain confidential records of all contributions

 

If You Do Not Want Your Gift Publicized:

The Emissaries of Divine Light occasionally recognize contributions in print (e.g., in our annual report donor honor roll). We do this to show our gratitude for your generosity and to inspire others to consider making a contribution. If you do not want your name publicized in association with your contribution, please indicate so and all reasonable efforts will be taken to comply with your request.

Collecting Personal Information for Programs & Communications:

When you register online or in person we collect your personal and organizational information such as: name, address, email address, organization name, employer ID, credit card number, etc.

We collect this information so that we can process fees and maintain internal records of our participants and their progression through prerequisites for gradiated coursework.

Applicants fill out an online Application Form or in person, which our staff reviews. We may contact an applicant to verify information. This organization does not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

If You Do Not Want Future Fund-Raising or Mailing Correspondence:

Based on the information provided for a gift transaction, we sometimes add donor names to our Development Office mailing list to receive future fund-raising requests. If you indicate that you do not wish to receive future fund-raising communications from the Development Office, all reasonable efforts will be taken to comply with your request.
